as I have just posted on the American football MVP frontrunners, I would like to say that from my research I couldn't find a clear rugby MVP winner or past winners. I think this is due to two things. When you play for clubs its in different leagues and to award one I guess its too much to ask for by the rugby league. At the same time Soccer has a footballer of the year award which is virtually the same thing and they have multiple leagues. Secondly they have a man of the match performance so maybe they feel that an MVP title would be to general but then again they have that in English Soccer but not in American Football because the best player will be recognized from either two ways they will make the Top 10 plays on NFL.com or they will Earn MVP.

American Footballs MVP of the season
As we are nearly done with the regular season who do you think is going to make MVP. Normally we have 2 or 3 clear favorites such as Payton Manning, Brett Farve, Tom Brady, Andre Johnson, LT etc but this year I think there will be an underdog. We can certainly rule off Brett Farve, I am a huge Farve fan but he has reached his limit and he keeps forcing himself through this pain barrier which he shouldn't also his TD to INT ratio is not the best so he is out of the running. I think a strong contender is Darren Mcfadden because he has almost single handedly ran the Raiders Offense and put up the big numbers like LT, or Adrian Peterson. Week 7 he ran for 165 yards and then again in week 8 ran for 111 and against the high profile teams like the chargers he ran for 95 yards. His season total is 993 yards, while the elite running back of AP has 1,149 so he is not that far off the pace. Secondly, a big contender would be Troy Polamalu from the Steelers. He is the soul of the Steelers number 1 ranked D. He has made many important INTs, tackles and sacks. He is the all around defensive safety. With 62 tackles and 6 INTs and 1 TD he should be in the forefront for MVP

Extreme Weather
During this week of the NFL, the Minnesota Vikings Staduim called the Metrodome collasped. This lead to the game being postponed. This sort of phenomenon never happens because the amount of snow that hit the metrodome made it collaspe like a burst bubble but rugby games havnt had something like this as they normally play in areans that are outside and not in staduims but this doesnt mean that the games havent had games effected by weather.
While doing Research I realized that rugby games have been affected by weather, such as the New Zealand v The British and Irish Lions First Test – Jade Stadium, Christchurch 2005, which was played in really rough conditions. The wind was high and the rain was pounding, which lead to extremly harsh conditions.
Also another game that had a huge weather factor was the Bears vs Patriots which had a huge snow fall and had very windy periods. This goes to show how both games can play through the weather barrior.

Hello Followers,
We are Eamon and Gabe. As an English project, we had to have 3 types of social media which are Facebook, Youtube and a blog and in those media to create an opinionated idea and publish it. We have decided as one of the social media ways would be to create a blog about it.
Active in sports ourselves and being in the international circle, we have decided to debate on how American Football is a better sport in all areas (hitting wise, pay wise, fame wise, the competition, the excitement etc) than Rugby.
Hope you enjoy our blog
Regards
